I'm trying to translate Filer into french using the Filer.cd and FilerPrefs provided. I saw several strings that are not translatable mainly the second menu in Filer is not.
Also I saw that you have splitted multiline messages into several messages (see LOC_ERR_CHECK1, LOC_ERR_CHECK2, etc.) but this is not required and might lead to problems if translator does not cut the translation at the same position and you want to reuse one part of the message in other places. In a .cd file you can have a multine message by ending the string with an antislash '\'.
I have also noted that Filer tends to open every gadgets there is in my CLASSES:gadget drawer while I don't think its using sketchboard.gadget nor partition.gadget for example, I guess this is generic code generated by Emperor, but maybe you can clean this ?

I have planned to completely redo localization for the main app. So you'll have to see after that if there's any persisting problems.
The prefs program has been completely localized and you'll be able to see it in the next release, I've already made a swedish locale for it.
The code that ami603 supplied opens up a ton of libraries and gadgets. I will clean this up in both prefs and main app in due time.
Edit: Note that Emperor isn't used any more (I don't even know what it is), the weirdness you see is from the code that Ami603 originally supplied. | | |
